Why Implement Capability Maturity? Because
repeatability,
best practices, access to Federal and commercial engagement
opportunities, etc.
Developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), the
Capability Maturity Models (CMM/CMMI) are used to judge the
maturity of the processes in an organization, and identify
key practices that increase the maturity of these processes.
Related quality assurance guidelines are promoted by the International
Standards Organization (ISO 9000), and the ITIL/ITSM best
practices as applied to IT infrastructure support processes.
Some Federal agencies have required CMM/CMMI-appraised corporate
capabilities be presented in the acquisition process. CMM/CMMI
standards, when properly implemented, improve software quality
and provide productivity improvements, cost reduction and
several other tangible benefits.
First Line Partners helps you decide which standards and
implementation approach are best for your organization. We
guide you through the planning and implementation of the appropriate
